SERVICES & PRICES
Concerned about how long a project is going to take and how much it may cost? There’s no need to worry because I can offer set rates and charge by the project rather than by the hour. That way, you know exactly how much the work is going to cost upfront rather than receiving a surprise bill on the back end. Plus, my rates are competitive and in line with international standards for freelance editors and copywriters. However, if you would prefer an hourly rate, just ask. I'm happy to work that way as well.
Copyediting is for those who need another pair of eyes to catch mistakes and know the value of having a professional double check their work. I will help standardize your manuscript by checking that spelling is consistent, grammar is correct, and all the punctuation is in the right place. If you are already satisfied with your content and its structure and have the manuscript in a finalized form, this would be the right service for you.

Language Editing can be useful for both native and non-native English speakers since it goes beyond just catching the grammar and style mistakes. It includes all the above features of copyediting plus advice on word choice, idioms, and language use. It also involves giving advice on those harder revisions—rewording sentences, reorganizing paragraphs, and restructuring the flow of the general argument. If you are in the middle of a project and need someone to assist with either organizing or revamping your manuscript, then this is the right service for you.

Editing with tutoring includes all the above features of both copyediting and language editing, but it also comes with additional explanations that teach you how to become an even better writer and editor. For example, instead of just marking your comma splices, I’ll explain to you WHAT a comma splice is, WHY it’s an issue, and HOW you can correct it. In addition to teaching you about English grammar and style, I will also give you critical and useful feedback on your arguments, just as any good writing instructor or dissertation supervisor should be doing. I will ask questions about your thought process and push you to defend your arguments. Not only will your English language and grammar skills improve but also your analytic and argument skills will be strengthened through the process

If you submit your work on time, then I will too. If we’ve agreed on a deadline, then you will receive your work back on time, or it’s free.

If you'd prefer an hourly rate instead, I charge $55 per hour. I also do some coaching for university and graduate students going through the application process on the Wyzant platform too where they charge an hourly rate as well.
